A little about me and my creations:
My name is Crystal Lynn and I am the creative artist behind the shop TreasuredDetails. I have always been an “artsy” person and I love to try new creative things. I also have always been a hair person; I have long hair to my waist and I love to wear flowers in it, but accessories that are mass-produced have always bothered me and I seldom buy something that I don’t alter in some way to make it more unique, more “me.” Planning a wedding is no exception to this rule.
Traditional bridal shops have made planning a wedding a breeze with their package deals on gowns and accessories, but in the flurry of ease, the “wow” factor of a personalized wedding has gone missing. The more weddings I attend, the more I see of the same old flower girl basket, same old veil, same old, same old, until I can’t differentiate between one wedding and another. I have a list of “don’t dos” longer than my own wedding wish list, but the one most important criterion on my wish list is “originality.” I want my wedding to be unique, different, a reflection of who I am.
I began designing hair accessories for brides as I began having serious thoughts about my own wedding. All of the accessories I saw at stores seemed to have the potential of being unique with flowers, feathers, or the rhinestones, but I was ultimately disappointed by everything I saw. In mass-produced items, there are defects in flowers, glue spots showing, or a cheap feel to the materials. A bride designing her own wedding should not have to be burdened with the necessity of sifting through inferior products to find something beautiful.
TreasuredDetails was created to give brides the opportunity for that uniqueness. My arrangements are carefully made, the backings to my designs are specially designed for each item, and even my flowers are meticulously chosen. I have learned that all silk flowers are not created equally, even in the same shop, and I weed through bunches of them to find the most well-formed and perfectly colored flowers that are available. I like my designs to be as naturally beautiful as possible with charming, garden-inspired arrangements, but I also take requests from brides because I know the importance of having creative license over one’s own wedding. I love to be able to eliminate the headache by assuring the bride that each piece she will receive from me will be of the best quality materials and assembled with great care, while she does not have to pay extra for my attention to detail. Every bride should receive only the best for her wonderful day.
My goal as a designer is to give brides a token to cherish. I want my accessories to bear a greater legacy than the out-of-the-box, “every bride I know had this” feel that is so common with mass-produced items. I named my shop for the gift I want to give to brides. As a bride carefully arranges every detail of her wedding, so also do I give loving care to the pieces I design for her. Because every little detail of a wedding matters to the bride, even the smallest should be a TreasuredDetail.
Everyone should expect the same results, bride or not. I use only the best quality supplies for my designs! I like creating pieces for other events, in addition to weddings, whether formal dances, parties, photoshoots, or every day wear. Convo me if you want me to make you an original design. I LOVE custom originals! :)
